Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 21) - Police burned a total of 107,500 marijuana plants worth ₱21.5 million during an anti-illegal drugs operation in three separate farms in Kalinga Tuesday.

The farms were all located in Barangay Loccong in the Municipality of Tinglayan, the Philippine National Police said in a statement on Wednesday.

PNP chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said at least 37,500 marijuana plants worth ₱7.5 million were destroyed in the first farm.

Another 30,000 marijuana plants worth ₱6 million were burned in the second site, while authorities also uprooted and destroyed at least 40,000 plants worth ₱8 million in the third farm.

The PNP, however, said no cultivator was arrested during the joint operation with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
