Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 13)— The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has officially launched a social media platform where 2022 candidates can hold online rallies.

The “Campaign S • A • F • E • COMELEC e-Rally Channel,” which was revealed to the public on Thursday, will provide airtime to all aspirants in the running for president, vice president, and senator, as well as to groups vying for a party-list seat.

The livestream of the e-rallies will be conducted every night starting Feb. 8, the official start of the campaign period, according to the poll body.

Here is the list of allocated slots and airtime for each post:

— President (10 minutes — 3 slots/night)

— Vice President (10 minutes — 3 slots/night)

— Senator (3 minutes — 5 slots/night)

— Party-list (3 minutes — 5 slots/night)

— Political parties (10 minutes — 3 slots/night)

The Comelec said it will release guidelines on how candidates and organizations can participate in the digital channel.

“This platform can help ensure that even those candidates who have less in followers can still have more in views and exposure, so to speak,” it added.
