Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 13) — Presidential aspirant Isko Moreno, who described himself as a "middle class" citizen on Wednesday, admitted his net worth is around ₱70 million.

When asked if he is ready to present his statement of assets, liabilities, and net worth (SALN), the mayor replied, "Of course, it's public."

Moreno stressed he has never faced any corruption charges in his two decades in public service.

The 46-year-old presidential aspirant spent his younger years as a scavenger in Tondo, then entered show business in his teens. He also served in local politics and held non-elective government posts.

President Rodrigo Duterte has been criticized for his refusal to release his annual SALNs since 2018 — despite repeated requests from the media.
