Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 14) — Personalities continue to have a hand in which party-list groups get a seat in the House of Representatives.

Aside from ACT-CIS, which currently leads the COMELEC media server's unofficial, partial tally, and BAYAN MUNA, the top party-lists have endorsements from public figures.

As of the 3:50 p.m. tally, AKO BICOL, CIBAC, ANG PROBINSYANO, 1PACMAN and MARINO may have assured themselves a seat at the lower house.

AKO BICOL was endorsed by veteran actor Eddie Garcia, who hails from Sorsogon. Garcia was featured prominently in AKO BICOL's television commercials. It currently has 1.02 million votes.

Incumbent Senator Joel Villanueva on the other hand, endorsed his father Eddie Villanueva's party-list Citizens' Battle Against Corruption (CIBAC), which currently has 904,347 votes. Eddie Villanueva is the founder of the Jesus is Lord Church Worldwide (JILCW).

Ang Probinsyano was endorsed by the leading actor of the currently running television series itself, Coco Martin. The party-list has 743,741 votes so far.

1PACMAN, named after boxer-senator Emmanuel "Pacman" Pacquiao, and Marino, which has President Rodrigo Duterte's endorsement in its television ads, have the 6th and 7th spot in the unofficial, partial tally respectively.

Party-list groups, which are meant to represent a marginalized sector instead of a region, are given seats at the House of Representatives based on proportional voting.

Those who get around 2 percent of the national vote are given one seat, while party-lists can have up to three seats depending on the proportion of votes it received.

There are 59 seats for party-list representatives this 2019 elections.
