Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 21) — Reigning Miss Universe Catriona Gray blossomed in a locally-made terno jumpsuit embellished with Philippine national symbols.

The Filipino beauty queen wore the creation of Mak Tumang — the same designer behind her iconic lava gown — for her first homecoming parade. The country's national flower sampaguita and national leaf anahaw were incorporated into the outfit.

The designer explained the vision behind the outfit he created for the queen.

"Interestingly, this flower has a lot to do with the concept of 'Coming Home'. You know you are home when its distinct sweet and aromatic fragrance tickles your olfactory sense... Welcome home Catriona! Thank you for the fulfilled promise of making the Filipino people proud! Mabuhay!" he wrote his Facebook page on Thursday.

Aside from the terno, Tumang also created a flapper-inspired dress for Gray.
