Voltaire Tayag, director of communications for the pageant, said the Top 100 delegates have to undergo virtual challenges so they don't have to travel amid the pandemic. The process will take place from July 19 to August 30.
The number will be trimmed down via online fan votes and judges scores to 75 delegates, then 50.
The Top 50 will travel to Manila for a series of interviews held on August 28. On the same day, the Top 30 will be announced.
The 30 official candidates will compete in the coronation night happening on September 25.
The winner will succeed reigning Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo to compete in the 70th Miss Universe pageant in December in Eilat, Israel. She will try to snare the Philippines’ 5th Miss Universe crown.
