The OCTA Research group paints a grim picture in the COVID-19 fight should the country fail to stop the spread of the South Africa variant.

Daily cases may reach up to 4,000 by the end of the month. The country recorded over 3,000 new infections today alone, the highest increase since October 16 last year. On the same day, health officials detected more cases of the variants from South Africa and United Kingdom.
