PH suspends missile procurement due to lack funds

The government is putting on hold plans to purchase the country's first cruise missile system from an Indian-Russian joint venture.

This was supposed to be part of the military's long-term modernization program to boost the country's defense capabilities.

Depleted funds due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
