Security tight as Lanao del Sur town holds special elections

In Tubaran, Lanao del Sur, special elections were held earlier today. Authorities deployed over a thousand police and soldiers in the area to avoid another violent incident similar to what happened on May 9. Gerg Cahiles has this story.

F2 Logistics told to explain dumped poll materials in Cavite

Comelec demands an explanation from Davao businessman Dennis Uy's F2 Logistics. The company is Comelec's partner in transporting election-related supplies. This is in connection with a viral video showing what appeared to be the dumping of used election materials from Manila in a grassy area in Cavite as if these were trash. Melissa Lopez also reports the poll body looks to proclaim winning party-lists on Thursday, but not before it holds special elections in one town in Mindanao.
