Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 15) — The Adamson University Soaring Falcons put up a valiant stand against the National University, 68-62, in UAAP Season 86 men's basketball Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Didat Hanapi showed the way for the Soaring Falcons with 13 points and six rebounds.

Now at 6-7 in the team standings, Adamson can force a playoff match for the last Final Four spot with a victory over University of the East on Nov. 18 and hope for an Ateneo de Manila University loss to De La Salle University on Nov. 19.

Matthew Montebon contributed 12 points, six rebounds, and five assists while Ced Manzano added 12 points and three rebounds for the Soaring Falcons.

Kean Baclaan finished with a game-high 24 markers and eight boards for the Bulldogs.

NU will close its elimination round campaign against league-leading University of the Philippines on Nov. 19.
