Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 30) — The shooting guard meets the point guard.

BTS rapper SUGA hung out with NBA defending champion Golden State Warriors, including finals MVP Stephen Curry, in Tokyo, Japan on Thursday.

Curry welcomed SUGA to Dub Nation. He gifted the K-pop icon with his jersey, while SUGA gave him a copy of BTS' anthology album "Proof."

“Big fan, obviously,” Curry told SUGA in a video shared on social media. “So are my kids and everybody in my family, man. It’s great to meet you.”

The BTS member attended Golden States' practice and even got to meet Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

SUGA is a huge basketball fan, regularly attending NBA games when he's in the United States.

His love of the game is even evident in his screen name, which is derived from the position he played in his younger years — a shooting guard.

Before the meeting, SUGA teased fans by holding up a custom-made Warriors jersey with his name and No. 3.

ESPN reported the Warriors and Washington Wizards will play two 2022 preseason games in Japan's Saitama Super Arena on Friday.

It is unknown if SUGA will attend or play a role in the event.
