Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 28) — Motorsports school Tuason Racing has expanded its program to include classes on virtual racing using a simulator (sim).

“Creating a brand-new platform for esports racing comes from a necessity the community was lacking," it said. "Because esports racing has taken the whole world, it deserves a proper stage to shine.”

During the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, both the local and international race car drivers turned to virtual motorsports competitions to sate their thirst for race track action.

According to the racing school, Tuason Racing ESports School (TRES) will help learners understand the sport, be trained and prepare them into the world of esports, as well as help them be professionals in the future, making it a “long-term investment.”

“Apart from the coaching sessions, you mostly get different tools to effectively analyze your driving and every track," it said. "TRES will provide a program that will further help you understand everything (about) sim racing, from mindset, equipment to use, and mock races to immerse yourself in it.”

To complete the course, interested students must finish two levels that include an online class, a session with coaches, and a training on-ground.

“Level 1 will help you learn the basics of sim racing and the right equipment to complement your skill," Tuason Racing explained. "Level 2 will focus more about the tricks, like shifting, driving on track, and racing strategies.”
