UST crowned general champion in UAAP Season 84

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 22) — University of Santo Tomas (UST) won its fifth consecutive UAAP general championship after emerging on top of Season 84.

UST garnered 84 points in the pandemic-shortened calendar with only eight events held this season. The cheerdance competition was excluded in the tabulation of scores.

UST also bagged the gold in poomsae, men's 3x3 basketball, men's beach volleyball, and men's chess. It now has a total of 45 general championships, the most in the collegiate division.

National University came in at second place with 81 points. They did not send a delegation to the men's chess event.

This season's host school De La Salle University settled at third with 76 points while University of the Philippines finished at fourth place with 71 points.

Completing the final tally from fifth to last place are Ateneo de Manila University (58 points), Adamson University (42 points), Far Eastern University (39 points), and University of the East (3 points).
