Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 15) — The Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup has canceled its games for Thursday following the controversial match between the ARQ-Lapu-Lapu City Heroes and Siquijor Mystics on Wednesday, the league announced on its social media page.

The scheduled games that were postponed were MJAS Zenith-Talisay City Aquastars vs. Siquijor and Dumaguete Warriors vs. Tubigon-Bohol Mariners.

Games will resume instead on Friday, April 16.

The decision was made in the wake of the postponement of the match between the ARQ-Lapu-Lapu City Heroes and Siquijor Mystics during halftime due to an alleged power outage. The game was halted with Lapu-Lapu up, 27-13. It was marred botched open lay-ups and players intentionally missing free throws, videos of which went viral online.

The Games and Amusements Board said it will investigate the circumstances that led to the postponement of the said game.

The Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup, founded in 2020, is a basketball league comprised of teams from Visayas and Mindanao.
