Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 19) — Blacklist International swept Onic PH in the all-Filipino grand final of the M3 World Championship, 4-0, to claim the much-coveted esports title Sunday at the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre in Singapore.

It was a rematch of sorts as both teams faced each other in the Mobile Legends Professional League-Philippines Season 8 final, where Blacklist successfully defended its title.

Onic PH was off to a hot start in the first match, but it could not sustain the advantage as Blacklist came back firing late in the game.

With the momentum on its side, Blacklist punished Onic PH's sloppy plays to build a 2-0 series advantage.

Just like in the opening match, Blacklist overpowered Onic PH in team fights to establish a commanding series edge.

Blacklist was just too much to handle in the fourth match, dominating all the objectives en route to the victory.

Kiel “Oheb” Soriano was hailed the Playoffs Most Valuable Player.

Blacklist became the second Filipino team to bag the Mobile Legends world championship crown after Bren Esports won the previous edition of the highly competitive tournament.

Blacklist will be taking home the grand prize of $300,000 (about ₱15 million), while Onic PH gets $120,000 (about ₱6 million).

Members of the team said they will donate a portion of their winnings to the relief efforts for victims of Typhoon Odette.
