Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 24) - Fifteen-year-old Filipino tennis star Alex Eala defeated 28-year-old Yvonne Cavelle-Reimers in the final of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Rafael Nadal Academy World Tennis Tour at Manacor, Spain on Sunday.

Eala bagged her first professional title after a come-from-behind 5-7,6-1, 6-2 win against hometown bet Cavelle-Reimers in the women’s singles final.

It was Cavelle-Reimers who clinched the first set, but the Filipina ace bounced back in the next sets en route to the title.

Eala is currently the No. 3 junior player in the ITF and 1,180th in the world standings. Meanwhile, Cavelle-Reimers ranked 132nd in the ITF and 490th in the world.

The Filipino player just came off a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Hong Kong’s Adithya Karunarante during the semifinals on Saturday.
