Tacloban City (CNN Philippines, November 7) — Authorities are still looking for the suspect behind the stabbing of a public high school teacher in Baybay City, Leyte.

The victim identified as Pee Jay Gonzaga Montero, 29, was found with multiple stabs on his body by a fellow teacher beside a water tank post at Baybay City National High School at 5:40 p.m. on November 5.

Meanwhile, Police Staff Sergeant Marlo Dajao of Baybay City Police Station said they have already identified several individuals as persons of interest.

But Dajao added that they still need to build up strong evidence against the persons of interest to support the case that they will be filing before the court.

While the investigation is ongoing, the Schools Division Office of Baybay City warned students and other school personnel from making unverified statements regarding the incident.

"A Division Bulletin shall be issued to clarify matters of his death after full and final results of the investigation have been concluded," the office said in a statement issued last November 5.

It also reminded that students and school staff should secure proper authorization when entering school premises during weekends and holidays.
