Tacloban City (CNN Philippines, November 17) — A South Korean national is the subject of a manhunt after he escaped from a sub-provincial jail in Leyte.

The Abuyog Municipal Police Station on Friday identified the jailbreaker as 28-year-old Gim Si-hun, who also carries the alias Kim Si-hon, with a known address at Suit Condo, BGC, Taguig City.

He was detained due to estafa charges.

The jail personnel conducting a head count learned that Gim was missing at around 6 a.m. on Nov. 16.

He was last seen at around 3 a.m. in the kitchen while preparing breakfast, police said.
