Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 14) – A woman was declared dead on arrival due to a severe head injury after the motorcycle she was riding with her family collided with a bus along the National Road in Tabuk City, Kalinga, authorities reported on Monday.

The woman's husband, who was driving the motorcycle, is now in stable condition after he underwent CT scan and X-ray procedures while their children ages 8 and 10 years old sustained minor abrasions.

According to a Tabuk City Police report, a Victory Liner bus bound for Cubao, Quezon City bumped into the motorcycle when it tried to overtake the two-wheeled vehicle on its left.

Videos circulating online showed some people smashing the front window of the bus. Cries were also heard in one video as people flocked to the victims.

The bus driver is now under police custody.

In a statement, Victor Liner said it is doing everything possible to help the family, and ensured its full cooperation with the investigation.
