Private plane pilot, passenger survive emergency landing
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The pilot of a private plane successfully made an emergency landing on Sunday (September 27) At the shoreline near Amontilado Beach in Dauin, Negros Oriental.
The plane was damaged, but the pilot, identified as Jimmy Chacko Dommen, a 29-year-old Indian, and his passenger, Rolando Soliva, the 63-year-old owner of the plane, were unharmed, according to Senior Supt Dionardo Carlos, chief of the Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office.
The planes came from Dumaguete City and was on its way to Dipolog City, where Soliva resides, when it lost power, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing at around 3:40 p.m.
