Rico Hizon wins PH best presenter at Asian Academy Creative Awards 2023

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 28) — CNN Philippines' senior anchor Rico Hizon adds another feather to his cap after winning Best Factual Presenter in the national category at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2023.

Winners of the national categories were announced on Thursday. Journalists from Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Singapore. and Taiwan were also recognized.

Hizon said he was "extremely honored" for the recognition.

"This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the men and women of CNN Philippines, The Final Word team and my family," he said.

"This recognition inspires the CNN Philippines news team to do better and do more: to inform and educate by providing the facts and helping our viewers form a well-informed opinion and decision," Hizon added.

In 2020, the Asian Academy Creative Awards named "The Final Word with Rico Hizon" as "Best News Programme" in the country.

Hizon will represent the country at the Asian Academy Creative Awards Gala Finals in Singapore in December.
