Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 23) — After 11 straight weeks of hikes, motorists can expect slightly lower pump prices next week, according to a forecast by Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. on Saturday.

Diesel may go down by ₱0.20 to ₱0.40 per liter, while gasoline may be cut by ₱0.15 to ₱0.35 per liter.

Unioil said the rollback is expected from Sept. 26 to Oct. 2.

The Department of Energy's monitoring on Sept. 18 showed the price adjustments have resulted in a year-to-date increase of gasoline by ₱17.50 per liter, diesel by ₱13.60 per liter, and kerosene by ₱9.94 per liter.
