SC eyes releasing 2023 Bar exams results before Christmas
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 17) — The Supreme Court on Sunday announced it is planning to release the results of the 2023 Bar examinations before Christmas.
"For the longest time, Bar examinees have had to endure several months of perceived agony of waiting before the results of the professional licensure exams for future lawyers are released," said SC Associate Justice Ramon Paul Hernando, chair of this year's Bar examinations.
"The time spent by examinees waiting in agony for the results of the exams will be cut short. My team and I are eyeing the release of the results of the 2023 Bar examinations in early December before Christmas Day," he added.
As of 12 p.m. Sunday, the SC logged a total of 10,404 examinees across 14 testing centers across the country. The next exam days will be on September 20 and 24.
Hernando said the high court expected to welcome 10,791 Bar takers this year, of which more than 5,800 are first-timers.
The Bar exams are divided into six core subjects: political and public international law, commercial and taxation laws, civil law, labor law and social legislation, criminal law, and remedial law, and legal and judicial ethics with practical exercises.
The SC said 2,571 Bar personnel, including court officials, judges and volunteer lawyers, were deployed to the testing centers.
Nearly 4,000 hopefuls hurdled the Bar exams last year.
