Diesel prices seen to jump by over ₱2 next week
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 16) — Motorists will have to brace for yet another oil price hike as diesel prices are seen to go up by more than ₱2 per liter, according to a forecast by Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. on Saturday.
Unioil said the price adjustments are expected from Sept. 19 to Sept. 25.
The per liter cost of diesel may increase by ₱2.20 to ₱2.40 while gasoline is expected to climb by ₱1.60 to ₱1.80 per liter.
This will be the 11th week of price increases.
According to the Sept. 12 monitoring of the Department of Energy, the price adjustments have resulted in a year-to-date net increase of ₱15.50 per liter for gasoline, ₱11.10 per liter for diesel, and ₱7.94 per liter for kerosene.
