Fuel firms to implement price rollback this week

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 5) – Motorists can now pump more fuel for their money as oil companies will cut their prices this week.

In separate advisories, Seaoil, Cleanfuel, PTT Philippines, Caltex, Phoenix, Flying V, Unioil, Petron and Petro Gazz said the cost of diesel will fall by 30 centavos per liter while gasoline will decrease by 60 centavos per liter.

Seaoil, Caltex, Flying V, Petron and Petro Gazz also said the cost of kerosene will drop by 60 centavos per liter.

In its latest monitoring, the Department of Energy showed a year-to-date net decrease for kerosene at ₱6.75 per liter.

Gasoline has a net increase of ₱6.10 per liter while diesel remains at a net decrease of ₱5.05 per liter.

As of May 30, oil companies implemented an increase in gasoline price of ₱1.10 per liter while the cost of kerosene was cut down by 60 centavos per liter. The price of diesel, however, has no movement.
