Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 16) — Filipino wrestler Ronil Tubog ruled the men's freestyle 61kg category on Tuesday to deliver the Philippines' 55th gold at the 32nd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Cambodia.

The 30-year-old veteran wrestler won 3-1 against Indonesia's Zainal Abidin.

This was the second gold medal of the Philippine wrestling team on Wednesday after Alvin Lobreguito dominated the men's freestyle 57kg category.

Like Lobreguito, Tubog also settled for silver in the 2019 SEA Games.

Currently, the team has four gold medals following Jason Balabal's triumph in men's Greco Roman 87kg, and Maria Christina Vergara in the women's freestyle 65 kg.
