Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 5) — United States Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland will be in Manila this week for an official trip, the State Department announced on Sunday.

It said Nuland will visit the Philippines and Japan between March 6 and 9.

"In Manila, Undersecretary Nuland will meet with senior Philippine officials to discuss key aspects of the US-Philippines alliance, including our shared interest in deepening economic, security, and people-to-people ties," it added.
