Valenzuela City warehouse fire declared out two days after it erupted
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 1) — A fire that erupted in a warehouse in Barangay Bagbaguin, Valenzuela City was declared out on Saturday night, two days after it broke out on Thursday noon, the Bureau of Fire Protection reported.
Authorities said the fire started in a Herco hardware storage facility at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. It quickly escalated to Task Force Bravo by 3:40 p.m. on the same day, with 42 trucks responding to the incident.
It was placed under control at 5:37 p.m. on Friday, before it was finally declared out a day later at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Eight firefighters and one civilian were injured, while up to 218 families were displaced by the fire.
