CNN Philippines' Pinky Webb wins Best Public Affairs Program host at PMPC Star Awards for TV

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 28) — CNN Philippines senior anchor and correspondent Pinky Webb was hailed as Best Public Affairs Program Host at this year's Philippine Movie Press Club Star Awards for Television held at Winford Manila Resort and Casino in Manila on Saturday, Jan. 28.

Chief correspondent Pia Hontiveros, senior anchor Rico Hizon, senior correspondent and anchor Ruth Cabal, and sports anchor Andrei Felix were also nominated for the category.

Webb hosts The Source, which features one-on-one interviews with personalities from different fields. Its tagline is: "Where we combine the headlines with in-depth conversations with the newsmakers themselves."

The Source was likewise nominated for Best Public Affairs Program, while Balitaan — the network's flagship noontime newscast which Webb also hosts — got a nomination for Best News Program.

CNN Philippines was also nominated for Best TV Station.

Before 2022 ended, Webb was recognized as one of Gawad Pilipino's "Heroes of the Year," along with correspondent Rex Remitio.
