Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 30) — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Friday reopened 43 more pre-pandemic routes for buses, jeepneys, and UV Express units.

In a memorandum circular, the agency said the routes for the traditional and modern public utility jeepneys and UV Express units are under the Metro Manila Urban Transport Integration Study Update and Capacity Program (MUCEP) Area.

The following are the routes reopened for traditional jeepneys:

- Parang - Stop & Shop via Aurora Blvd.

- SSS Village - Stop & Shop via Aurora Blvd.

- Balara - Philcoa via Tandang Sora

- Commonwealth Market - Southville Resettlement

- Pabahay ni Erap, Rodriguez - Commonwealth Market

- Rodriguez Relocation - Commonwealth Market

- Commonwealth Market - Q Plaza via Marikina City

- Brgy. Bagong Silang - Ever Gotesco, Commonwealth

- San Rafael, Rodriguez - Quezon City Hall

- Rodriguez - Philcoa via Commonwealth

- Brgy. Mali, San Mateo - Philcoa

For modern jeeps, five routes were reopened, including:

- Rodriguez (Sub-urban) - North EDSA

- Parang - Stop & Shop via Aurora Blvd.

- SSS Village - Stop & Shop via Aurora Blvd.

- Pabahay ni Erap, Rodriguez - Commonwealth Market

- Rodriguez Relocation - Commonwealth Market

For traditional UV Express, routes including SSS Village - Cubao, Karuhatan - North EDSA, Victoria Homes, Muntinlupa - Alabang, Muntinlupa, Cubao - Buendia, Rodriguez (Montalban) - Cubao, and San Roque, Marikina - Commonwealth Market were reopened, while the SSS Village - Cubao route was reopened for modern UV Express.

Meanwhile, the LTFRB said 20 routes were reopened for public utility buses where 1,675 units can take their trips.

The reopening of these routes will answer the country's need for public transport while also helping in the livelihood of public utility drivers.

In August, the agency also allowed the reopening of over 100 pre-pandemic routes due to the expected influx of commuters as in-person classes resumed.
