Police seize ₱87.6M worth of various illegal drugs in Quezon City

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 10) — The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) seized ₱87.6 million worth of various suspected illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in Quezon City early Wednesday.

The police initially pegged the amount at ₱43.5 million, but later corrected it to ₱87,609,800 based on the standard prices of illegal drugs.

Suspected shabu, dried marijuana, kush, cocaine, and ecstasy were confiscated from suspects 25-year-old Riza Bilbao and 26-year-old Alvin Rapinian Esteban at 2:30 a.m. in Brgy. San Roque, Quezon City, according to the National Capital Region Police Office.

The arrested suspects were brought to Cubao Station Drug Enforcement Unit and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
