Fuel prices go up on fourth straight week

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 27) — Oil companies will implement another round of price hikes for the fourth straight week.

In separate advisories, Cleanfuel,Seaoil, Phoenix Petroleum, PTT Philippines, Petro Gazz, and Flying V will raise the per-liter prices of gasoline by ₱0.50 and diesel by ₱1.65.

Meanwhile, Seaoil and Flying V also announced that kerosene will go up by ₱0.10 per liter.

Other fuel firms have yet to make similar announcements.

As of June 21, per-liter prices have gone up by ₱29.50 for gasoline, ₱44.25 for diesel, and ₱39.65 for kerosene since the start of 2022, according to the Department of Energy’s latest monitor.

Over 200,000 beneficiaries have so far received fuel subsidies for public utility vehicle drivers and operators.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board earlier said that it is awaiting the directive of the incoming administration of President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. regarding the next tranche of fuel subsidy.
