Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 2)— Outgoing Vice President Leni Robredo on Thursday warned the public against possible requests for solicitation and donations for non-government organization Angat Buhay, stressing that it is still being set up.

“Wala po tayong ginagawang anumang solicitation para sa contributions o donations para rito,” Robredo said in an advisory. “Anumang mga request na lumabas o nakikita sa social media at iba pa ay walang kaugnayan sa Angat Buhay NGO.”

[Translation: We have not made any requests soliciting contributions or donations. Whatever requests that appear on social media and other platforms are not connected with the Angat Buhay NGO.]

Robredo’s Angat Buhay NGO, which stemmed from her office’s program of the same name, will be launched in July in an effort to extend more assistance to Filipinos in need.

The Angat Buhay program brought together the public and private sectors to help those “in the farthest and the poorest communities in the country.”
