Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 25)— The Marcos camp is considering some historical sites— including Fort Santiago— as a possible inauguration venue for newly-proclaimed president-elect Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos.

"Maybe Fort Santiago or some other outdoor historical area could be a possibility," Bongbong's sister Senator Imee Marcos told CNN Philippines on Wednesday. "It's a suggestion among many others."

Marcos, however, stressed that the Quirino Grandstand still remains as a strong possible pick, as their family has a "sentimental preference" for the venue due to their father's past inaugurations that had been held there.

"But having said that, there's some level of concern about the quarantine and isolation facility that's been built there, we don't want to dislocate anyone," she noted.

Bongbong Marcos was officially proclaimed by Congress as the duly elected president of the Philippines — with the final vote canvass showing a landslide victory for the son and namesake of the late dictator.
