JoyRide joins PH car hailing service industry
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 28) — JoyRide Car is the newest player in the country’s car hailing service after bagging accreditation from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), the company announced on Monday.
In a statement, JoyRide confirmed the LTFRB’s issuance of a certificate of accreditation on Feb. 24 pursuant to Department Order No. 2015-11 and Memorandum Circular No. 2021-066.
"We are grateful that JoyRide Car is now one of the accredited four-wheel Transport Network Companies in the Philippines. We view this as a good development as commuters will now have another viable choice for safe, comfortable, and affordable car rides to their destination,” said JoyRide senior vice president for corporate affairs Noli Eala.
With its accreditation, JoyRide will be joining Grab, Owto and Hirna in the country’s four-wheel ride hailing industry.
Its certification also comes as Metro Manila and other parts of the country gear up for looser restrictions this March.
Prior the certification, the company’s services include motorcycle and tricycle ride hailing, two-wheel and four-wheel courier deliveries for businesses, and COVID-19 home testing.
