Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 15) — Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen confirmed he tested positive for COVID-19, a few days after he met with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and other world leaders.

Hun Sen on Tuesday bared he tested positive after arriving in Indonesia for the G20 Summit.

The prime minister said he plans to return to Cambodia on Tuesday evening.

The news came two days after the conclusion of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit, which ran from Nov. 10 to 13 in Phnom Penh.

During the regional event, he had a bilateral meeting with Marcos and interacted with his other counterparts in ASEAN. 

He also had discussions with other world leaders over the past days, including United States President Joe Biden.

Malacañang has yet to issue a statement on the matter.
