Jay Art Tugade is new LTO chief
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 14) — President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has appointed Jose Arturo "Jay Art" Tugade as the new Land Transportation Office (LTO) chief.
Tugade took his oath of office before Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista on Monday.
The lawyer and businessman was earlier named the acting general manager of the Manila International Airport Authority.
He is the son of Arthur Tugade, who served as Transportation Secretary in the Duterte administration.
Tugade replaced Teofilo Guadiz III who will be taking on the position of Assistant Secretary for the Road Sector of the Department of Transportation, according to Bautista.
