Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 16) — Great news for those who still have not registered to vote in the 2022 general elections.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Saturday extended the voter registration hours and days in select areas.

Registration in the following areas will now be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. during weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

-Metro Manila

-towns of Alcala and San Quintin in Pangasinan

-Tarlac City and towns of Capas and Concepcion in Tarlac province

-Quezon province

-Labo, Camarines Norte

-Castilla, Sorsogon

-Cebu City, Mandaue City, and Lapu-Lapu City

Registration sites will also be open from Mondays to Saturdays at 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in these localities:

-towns of Anda, Sto. Tomas, and Sual in Pangasinan

-towns of Aringay, Balaoan, and Caba in La Union

-Ilocos Sur

-towns of Balatan, Bula, Cabusao, Goa, Lagonoy, Libmanan, Magarao, Minalabac, Ragay, Sagñay, San Fernando, San Jose, Tigaon, and Tinambac in Camarines Sur

The voter registration period, which was supposed to end on Sept. 30, was reopened on Oct. 11, as calls for an extension grew. It now ends on Oct. 30.
