Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 2) — The Philippine Competition Commission said it would temporarily close its office starting August 3 after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

In an advisory on Sunday, the PCC said their office would remain closed until August 14, however alternative work arrangements would be adopted so services would not be disrupted.

The commission's office will be disinfected during the closure.

PCC said clients could transact business online, while those who have set appointments through the PCC's Client Appointment System are asked to wait for advice on when they can reschedule.

It added, "During the disinfection period, no documents or printed communications, including mail deliveries from couriers and postal services, shall be received at the PCC records unit."
