Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 3) — The services offered in barbershops and salons in areas under general community quarantine will no longer be limited to haircuts.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque on Friday said the initial order was revised by the COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force on Thursday to allow more services.

The Department of Trade and Industry is set to issue complete guidelines on the gradual resumption of these establishments.

“Yung mga pedicure, manicure antayin muna po ang guidelines, bagamat in principle papayagan po 'yan. Hintayin lang natin ang guidelines ng DTI,” Roque said in a media briefing.

[Translation: For pedicures, manicures, let's wait for the guidelines, although in principle those will be allowed. Let's wait for the guidelines from DTI]

The IATF previously allowed the gradual reopening of salons and barbershops in GCQ areas, but the establishments were limited to offering haircuts while observing minimum health standards.
