Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 1) - ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation announced Wednesday that the channels on its digital television service, TV Plus, will stop airing tonight in areas outside Metro Manila in light of the cease and desist order by the National Telecommunications Commission.

“ABS-CBN regrets to announce that it will stop its digital transmission of its TVplus channels CineMo, Yey, TeleRadyo, Jeepney TV, Asianovela Channel, and KBO in all other areas outside Metro Manila starting tonight, July 1, while we seek clarification on the scope of the cease and desist order” read the company statement.

TVPlus channels went off air yesterday in Metro Manila.

The network said CineMo, TeleRadyo, and Jeepney TV are still available on SKYcable, a subsidiary of ABS-CBN. Meanwhile, TeleRadyo and Jeepney TV can still be viewed in other cable TV operators.

“We hope Congress approves our franchise and gives us the opportunity to return our service to all our TVplus viewers,” it added.

NTC also issued a cease and desist order on SKYdirect, a direct-broadcast satellite subscription television service owned and operated by Sky, a subsidiary of ABS-CBN.
