Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 18) — Two more police personnel contracted the coronavirus disease, bringing the total infected cops to 67, the Philippine National Police said Saturday.

PNP Spokesperson PBGen. Bernard Banac said in a televised public briefing that the police force has 596 suspected cases and 74 probable patients.

The country now has 5,878 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 487 recoveries and 387 deaths.
