Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 5) — Not too keen on going to the mall? You can now hire a personal shopper at SM Stores for free.

With the Christmas shopping rush just around the corner, SM Stores are offering the service to busy customers and to those who want to avoid crowded malls amid the pandemic.

Shayne Victoria, a personal shopper at SM Mall of Asia, explained to CNN Philippines on Saturday what the job is all about. She said customers can ask personal shoppers to look for any item in the entire mall on their behalf.

“Siya 'yung mag a-assist kay customer para dumali ang pagsho-shopping ng customer,” Victoria said.

Victoria added that the personal shopper can send photos of the potential items via Viber, or they can also communicate through video call.

For customers frustrated by the limited interaction in app-based online shopping transactions, the personal shopper provides a welcome service -- and may be the second best thing as being at the mall.

The delivery fee for the products only amounts to ₱100. To avail of the service, she said interested customers can reach them through the “Call to Deliver” hotlines of SM Stores.
