THE NEW PASSENGER TERMINAL BUILDING (PTB) OF CLARK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (CRK) IS NOW 100% COMPLETE!!!
Once operational, the Clark International Airport will significantly boost its passenger capacity from the current 4.2 million to 12.2 million passengers annually.
The new terminal, built by Megawide Construction Corp. and GMR Infrastructure Ltd., is also expected to help in decongesting the passenger traffic at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Pasay City.
The DOTr added the expansion project will be a key factor in accelerating economic progress in Central Luzon, especially in job generation and tourism endeavors.
The new Clark International Airport terminal is slated to operate in January 2021.
San Miguel Corporation is also planning to build the New Manila International Airport in Bulacan, Bulacan, also aimed at decongesting NAIA and complement the nearby Clark International Airport.
Senators approved on final reading on Monday the bill granting San Miguel Aerocity Inc. the authority to build, develop, and operate the new international air gateway to the greater Metro Manila area. The measure also grants San Miguel exemptions from paying income and real estate taxes until authorities declare that the proponent has "fully recovered its investment cost" on the project.
