Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 7) — An estimated 6 kg of suspected crystal meth or "shabu" amounting to ₱40.8 million was seized by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at a drug buy-bust operation in Parañaque City on Friday night.

In its report, PDEA also arrested three drug personalities who were identified as tricycle driver Hamodine Ibrahim, 26; Datunot Magelna, 22; and Eric Musa, 20.

PDEA National Capital Region director Joel Plaza said that the suspects were arrested in a joint operation by PDEA’s Eastern District Office, Southern District Office, and Parañaque City station drug enforcement unit at around 8:30 pm in Brgy. Moonwalk.

Also seized during the operation were three units of cellphones, an identification card, three black eco bags, a piece of black plastic bag, and a buy-bust money.

Criminal charges for sale and possession of illegal drugs will be filed against the suspects, citing the Republic Act 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002."
