Mactan Cebu International Airport (L), Iloilo International Airport (R)

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 30) — The Cebu and Iloilo airports are among the best in Asia, according to a poll ran by travel website.

In its latest survey of travellers, Sleeping in Airports ranked the Mactan Cebu International Airport 16th among 20 best airports in Asia. The Iloilo International Airport, meanwhile, ranked 18th.

Topping the lists for best airports in Asia and the world is Singapore’s luxe Changi Airport, praised for its spacious terminals, helpful and friendly staff, and clean facilities. Changi has consistently topped Sleeping in Airports’ listings.

The travel website comes out with a list of the best and worst airports every October, which it determines through a web poll and airport reviews gathered throughout the year.

Sleeping in Airports had previously listed Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport as among the worst airports in the world from 2011 to 2013 — a tag that the country’s main gateway lost in 2017.

Topping the list of worst airports in the world is Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport, which was jeered for its “disorganization, filthy bathrooms, rude and arrogant staff, and lack of decent food.”
