Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 1) — Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte may be taking on another role as her name was submitted to the Commission on Appointments (CA) for confirmation as colonel in the Army's reserve forces.

Like all other appointees and nominees, Mayor Duterte will face members of the CA and will be questioned by CA members from the Senate and the House of Representatives.

She has to get the required 13 votes for her to pass the CA and earn her rank as Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Colonel.

Her interview is tentatively scheduled on March 14.

Other officials are also up for confirmation, among them are Senators Loren Legarda and Manny Pacquiao, House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, House Majority Leader Rudy Farinas and Deputy House Speaker Gwen Garcia.

Also submitted to the CA for confirmation as Brigadier General in the AFP reserve force was Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista.

Their hearings are tentatively scheduled on March 7.

All of the names were submitted by President Rodrigo Duterte.
