Marikina cancels classes, work in LGU offices on July 31 for Palarong Pambansa opening

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 29) — The Marikina local government has canceled classes in all levels and work in government offices on Monday for the opening parade and ceremonies of the 63rd Palarong Pambansa.

Marikina City will host the multi-sport event this year after it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic since 2020.

Aside from the regular sports events, athletes will also compete in dancesport, Esport, para games, and Laro ng Lahi or indigenous games.

The Palarong Pambansa opening ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. at the Marikina River Park.

The public may also view a water cannon exhibition at 12:30 p.m.
