MRT trains are running from North Avenue Station to Shaw Boulevard Station and vice versa after a broken rail was discovered early Wednesday morning.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The MRT ran on limited operations early Wednesday morning (June 17) after a broken rail was discovered between the southbound lane of the Shaw Boulevard and Boni Avenue stations.

Trains ran only from North Avenue Station to Shaw Boulevard Station and vice versa.

The MRT Control Center got word of the broken rail at around 5:30 a.m.

When asked how many rails have been reported broken and what time full operations are expected to resume, however, it was unable to give a definite answer.

But it assured that repairs were ongoing.

Normal operations resumed at 6:45 a.m., the MRT Control Center said.
