Gourmet Giving through holiday dining: A Thanksgiving celebration for the Hapag Movement
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The spirit of the holiday season shines brighter this year as Globe and the Fine Dining Club Philippines Facebook community present Gourmet Giving Series, a fine dining thanksgiving experience in support of the Hapag Movement.
For 11 days beginning November 20, twelve premier restaurants will host exclusive dining events to merge people’s passion for fine dining with the power of giving. A portion of the proceeds will directly contribute to the supplementary feeding and livelihood training programs of the Hapag Movement, aiming to change the lives of 500,000 Filipinos.
Among the participating culinary havens, Chef Jessie Rockwell Club and Flame Restaurant will offer festive flavors of the season.
From November 20 to 22, Chef Jessie Rockwell Club will give Filipinos a taste of American Thanksgiving with a special 5-course menu, priced at ₱3,000+ per person, featuring cherished staples such as Roast Turkey and Pumpkin Pie. Chef Jessie Sincioco was the first restaurant partner of the advocacy, expressing her support for the cause early on with her weekly Hapag Movement set menu.

“We are proud to support the Hapag Movement in a whole new way through the Gourmet Giving Series. From our special Hapag Movement Menu, now we are introducing a special 5-course menu that will bring to Filipinos the Thanksgiving experience. I call on diners to partake of this special meal,” said Sincioco.
Flame, meanwhile, ignites the giving spirit on November 29 to 30 with an 8-course dinner tasting menu inspired by the “Paskong Pilipino” concept for ₱4,500++ per person. As a prominent feature of Discovery Primea, Flame showcases Chef Luis Chikiamco's rich culinary journey through a holiday-tasting menu that promises an indulgent experience with dishes such as foie gras and cochinillo, lobster, and grilled USDA short ribs.

“For the Gourmet Giving series, we are offering a dinner tasting menu that’s familiar to Filipinos during the holidays. We hope to give you a special culinary experience that will also bring support to families experiencing involuntary hunger,” said Chikiamco.
"Globe continues to catalyze change and nurture a #GlobeOfGood by connecting people to meaningful experiences. Gourmet Giving Series exemplifies our commitment to leveraging our reach for the greater good, inviting everyone to dine with purpose this holiday season,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe Group Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer.
As Manila's cherished restaurants unite for the Hapag Movement, they offer not only a delectable meal but also a chance to be part of a larger narrative — one where every bite contributes to one’s hope and sustenance.
RG Orense, Globe Digital and Social Strategy Head, credits the help of Fine Dining Club Philippines for bringing the campaign together.
"It's amazing to see how a virtual community is able to mobilize both restaurants and dining enthusiasts to come together for a meaningful cause,” he said.
